Throughout this semester, I have found immense value in our class as we dived into the intricate world of rhetoric within literature. From the very beginning in phase 1, we laid the groundwork, exploring the fundamental aspects of language and literacy. Through exercises like the rhetorical precis template, we honed our skills in analyzing and introducing various texts. My extended assignment during this phase, where I talked about the world of Cyberpunk through the lens of a video game. Drawing from personal experience—having spent over 300 hours immersed in the game—I was able to articulate its immersive nature and emotional depth, shedding light on its thematic complexities.
Moving into phase 2, our exploration delved deeper into the strategies employed by writers and creators to influence audience opinion. My author profile focused on Cyberpunk and the gaming company behind it. Through this analysis, I uncovered insights into the company’s future, including a sequel to the game—a revelation that heightened my anticipation for what is to come.
Moving into phase 3, We learned how to finalize our work in progress final, it was a stage I really loved and enjoyed
Throughout these phases, what truly made this class special was the guidance and support provided by our professor. With each assignment, I felt myself growing as a writer and thinker. The incremental feedback and encouragement received along the way were invaluable, gradually refining our papers and sharpening our analytical skills. It has been a journey of discovery and growth, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it.
However, one area where I recognize there’s room for improvement is in simplifying my thought process. While my analyses have been thorough, I acknowledge that sometimes my approach could benefit from being more straightforward and concise. I can effectively convey my ideas without overwhelming the reader with unnecessary complexity. I believe it will not only enhance the clarity of my writing but also make my arguments more persuasive.
Overall, this semester has been instrumental in my development as a writer and thinker. Through careful guidance and support from our professor, I continue to refine my analytical skills and streamline my thought process, I am excited to see how my writing will continue to evolve in the future.
