Throughout this stage, I have learned how to make a rhetorical precis for diverse types of literature, art, and even songs. This class has proven to be exceptionally beneficial for me as I aspire to enhance my writing skills in multiple aspects. The skill gained in this stage holds particular significance because the precis can be applied to any of our works and helped me understand how to expand our works of literature. Additionally, we have dived into diverse genres of literature. With the guidance of the professor, we have explored different techniques and skills employed by the writers, gaining insights into how they incorporate these elements into their work.

We started the semester talking about emphasizing the general idea of literature and we started to talk about all the different assignments and works of literature that we were going to do through the first stage. We focused on different works of literature and then practiced writing rhetorical precis on them. What I enjoyed the most about this first stage was how the professor made the class so enjoyable and entertaining while at the same time helping us step by step in the process. The professor explained things we did not notice at first about the works of literature, but he also taught us different strategies when finding the main idea.

Something I really enjoyed was how the professor is going to make us work on several types of an essay that we could use for our final research paper. Basically, it is all going to be a huge paper and we are going to work on it section by section. I also liked how we had the liberty to pick any topic of our choice to work on, and we also had the liberty to change our topic if we saw that it was going nowhere.

For my first topic, I picked a song, but later I changed it because I realized how hard it would be to have a full research paper. I changed my topic of choice to a video game that has many connections to the real world and has important topics that play a role in our daily lives. In my essay, I will try to explain how the video game foreshadows our own universe and how corporations/people at the top have full control over regular people unless those people decide to fight back and risk their lives in the process. In a way, cyberpunk 2077 is intended for people like you and me, who wake up every morning and do the same thing repeatedly for the rest of their lives. People that need to be aware that the only way for us to break this cycle is for us to just do whatever we want even if it means risking our lives in the process.

Throughout the main story, the game explores and conveys a dystopian reality where those at the top have full control over those at the bottom, and those at the bottom have little to no chance of becoming someone in life without taking risks, we can see this since the story progresses in a way that we could see how in a world where cybernetic enhancements blur the lines between humanity and machines, the game serves as a cautionary tale, urging players to consider the ethical implications of a society driven by unchecked technological progress and corruption.  It also incorporates different ideas that emphasize how our society could lead to its own destruction, we can see this because as players navigate the narrative, they encounter a cast of characters grappling with the consequences of a society that values profit over humanity.
